Environmental Pollution a Major Challenge

Kalayika Foundation Chairman Chirala Narayana said environmental pollution has become a serious global problem. However, he appreciated WEO for taking strong action to address this issue.

Furthermore, he said the organization has distributed lakhs of jute bags at Medaram Jatara for the past 14 years. This step has helped reduce plastic usage.

He also mentioned that encouragement from Honorable Minister Smt. Seethakka has strengthened the campaign. This year, WEO will install awareness banners in 22 languages at the festival venue.

Youth Play a Key Role in Campaign

General Secretary Nikhil Sai Koneti said WEO continues to connect schools and temples to spread environmental awareness. The organization mainly focuses on students, youth, and women.

Additionally, the youth wing will organize large awareness drives during the Jatara. The goal is to protect Medaram’s biodiversity and preserve the forest region.
