The IAS Sanjeev Hans bribery case has taken a new turn after the Central Bureau of Investigation registered a fresh FIR against Bihar cadre officer Sanjeev Hans. The agency alleges that he accepted around ₹1 crore as a bribe in a 2019 matter.
According to investigators, the IAS Sanjeev Hans bribery case is linked to helping a real estate firm get a favourable order from the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC). Officials claim the deal was arranged through middlemen and involved multiple accused, including businessmen and associates.
The CBI FIR names several individuals and a company connected to the alleged transaction. The agency says the bribe was paid in instalments through close aides of the officer.
Hans has denied the allegations through his lawyer, calling them baseless. The investigation is ongoing, and more details may emerge as the probe progresses.
