India–U.S. tie-ups focused on frontier technology domains, says Consul General
India–U.S. tie-ups focused on frontier technology domains are playing a key role in driving innovation and entrepreneurship, said U.S. Consul General Laura Williams on Monday. She made the remarks during an interaction with members of the Research and Technology Innovation Hub (RTIH) in Amaravati.
Ms. Williams said collaboration between India and the United States has expanded beyond traditional sectors and now strongly focuses on frontier technology domains such as artificial intelligence, advanced manufacturing, clean energy, and deep-tech solutions. She noted that such partnerships are essential for addressing global challenges and creating sustainable economic growth.
During her visit, the Consul General interacted with RTIH team members to understand their efforts in nurturing innovation-led entrepreneurship in Andhra Pradesh. She appreciated the role played by RTIH in supporting startups, promoting research-driven solutions, and building links between academia, industry, and government.
Officials explained how RTIH provides mentoring, infrastructure, and funding support to young innovators and startups. Ms. Williams said platforms like RTIH can strengthen India–U.S. collaboration by enabling knowledge exchange and joint innovation.
India–U.S. tie-ups focused on frontier technology domains, she added, will continue to grow as both countries share common goals in technology development and entrepreneurship.
