India, US to Strengthen Dialogue on Key Issues
India and the United States have agreed to deepen cooperation on key global and bilateral issues. During a meeting at the UN General Assembly in New York, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and U.S. Secretary Marco Rubio emphasized the need for continued engagement on priority areas.
Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal also held discussions in Washington to boost trade ties. Despite recent tensions — including higher U.S. tariffs on Indian goods and policy shifts on Chabahar port — both sides signaled a desire to move forward.
Indian officials described the talks as “positive and forward-looking,” with both nations aiming to build stronger economic and strategic partnerships. The meetings reflect a shared interest in stability, trade, and global cooperation.
