Indore Bijalpur Road Demolition drive began as the municipal corporation launched a major anti-encroachment operation. The action took place in Bijalpur, near Indore, on Monday.

The Indore Municipal Corporation used JCB and poklane machines to remove illegal structures. Officials demolished nearly 40 constructions that blocked a proposed 100-foot-wide road. The operation aimed to improve traffic movement in the area.

Municipal Commissioner Dilip Kumar Yadav supervised the drive on-site. The action covered the stretch from Treasure Town to Bijalpur. Officials said several houses stood in the way of the planned road expansion.

The commissioner stated that the corporation had issued prior notices. Authorities asked residents to remove illegal constructions. Many residents ignored the notices, forcing the corporation to take strict action.

Officials clarified that the road widening project follows the city’s master plan. The new road will ease congestion and support smoother traffic flow. The corporation plans similar actions across Indore.

The civic body continues to focus on road expansion and encroachment removal. Officials believe these steps will reduce traffic pressure and improve urban mobility. The administration has warned that it will act firmly against future encroachments.

The demolition drive reflects the corporation’s push for planned development and better infrastructure in Indore.
