US President Donald Trump confirmed that American forces had begun major combat operations in Iran. He said the objective is to defend Americans by eliminating imminent threats from the Iranian regime. Trump called the campaign a “noble mission” linked to Iran’s nuclear and missile ambitions.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described the operation as a joint effort with the United States. He called Iran’s leadership an existential threat and said it must never obtain nuclear weapons.
The rapid escalation has raised fears of a broader regional war, as both sides signal readiness for further action.
