In Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur, the Central GST department carried out a major crackdown on Saturday, raiding several business establishments across the city. Under the leadership of GST Commissioner Lokesh Kumar Lilhare, the team conducted searches at four key locations and seized crucial documents along with unbilled goods.
At Khandelwal Traders in Baldev Bagh and the office of a copper wire dealer, officials recovered a large quantity of unregistered and undisclosed copper wire. Initial findings indicate that goods worth crores were sold without proper billing.
A raid was also conducted at Kachnar Club & Resort in Vijay Nagar, where the team suspects large-scale GST evasion. The firm is believed to have sold high-value items without paying the required tax.
Meanwhile, documents related to purchases, sales, stock registers, and production records were seized from Kunal Industries in Pandhurna. Officials are thoroughly analyzing all confiscated materials and believe this could be a significant case of tax evasion.
Key locations from where documents were seized include—
Khandelwal Traders, Baldev Bagh
Kachnar Club & Resort, Vijay Nagar
Aransh Agrotech, Baldev Bagh
Kunal Industries, Pandhurna
