Amid the excitement of the Bihar elections, a dramatic scene unfolded in the Barauli Assembly constituency of Gopalganj district. Jailed Dharmendra Krantikari arrived in handcuffs to file his nomination for the Bihar elections. Contesting on the Janshakti Janata Dal ticket of Tej Pratap Yadav, he became the talk of the town. Wearing handcuffs and escorted by heavy police security, Dharmendra submitted his papers before the election officer. He faces more than two dozen criminal cases, including murder, kidnapping, and extortion.
During the nomination, Dharmendra grew emotional and sang a song while crying, astonishing everyone. He claimed strong public support and vowed to fight the election with full strength. Despite being in custody, he completed all formalities like filing his affidavit and other documents, with hundreds of supporters cheering him on.
Meanwhile, Tej Pratap Yadav filed his own nomination from Mahua constituency. The Janshakti Janata Dal has announced 21 candidates so far.
