Indore News: A tragic incident unfolded aboard an Air India flight travelling from Jaipur to Bengaluru on Tuesday evening. A one-year-old child fell critically ill mid-air, forcing an emergency landing at Indore airport. Despite prompt medical intervention, doctors could not save the infant.

The Air India flight AI-610 departed Jaipur around 5:30 pm. It was scheduled to reach Bengaluru by 8:10 pm. During the journey, the child, identified as Mohammad Abrar, developed severe breathing difficulty. His family immediately alerted the cabin crew.

A doctor onboard began providing first aid. As the child’s condition worsened, the pilot declared a medical emergency. The aircraft contacted Indore air traffic control and received clearance for an emergency landing at around 7:20 pm.

After landing at Devi Ahilyabai Holkar International Airport, medical teams rushed the child for treatment. Emergency responders administered continuous CPR and shifted him by ambulance to a nearby hospital. Doctors declared the child dead before arrival.

Police officials said the child was travelling with his parents and elder brother. Family members later informed authorities that the child had shown signs of illness before boarding. His condition deteriorated during the flight.

Airport officials and the airline crew acted swiftly throughout the emergency. However, their efforts could not prevent the loss. The family chose to leave with the body without a post-mortem examination.
