Jamui child murder case has shocked Bihar after an 11-year-old schoolboy was kidnapped and brutally killed in Jamui district. The Jamui child murder case involves Aryan Kumar, also known as Pawan Kumar, a Class 5 student from Rajon village in Charkapathar area.
Aryan did not return home after school on Wednesday. When searches failed, his family informed the police. Suspicion soon fell on two local men.
Police detained Neeraj Das and Avinash Das on Wednesday evening. During questioning, both confessed to the crime. Based on their information, police recovered Aryan’s body from the Ghagha forest area on Thursday morning.
According to police, the accused lured the child while he was on his way to school. They hit him with a stone, killing him, and hid the body in the forest. The motive behind the murder is still under investigation.
Jhajha SDPO Rajesh Kumar confirmed that an FIR was registered based on a complaint by Aryan’s father, Dinesh Das. Further arrests may follow.
The incident triggered anger in the village. Enraged residents reportedly attacked the accused’s house. Police have increased security to prevent further violence.
