At IBC24’s special programme Janjatiya Pragya in Bhopal, held to mark two years of the Madhya Pradesh government, BJP MLA Rameshwar Sharma triggered controversy with strong remarks on Hindutva. Speaking during the session ‘Hindutva Kis Ore’, Sharma said that “anyone born in Hindustan is a Hindu” and added that even “five-time namaz-praying individuals had Hindu ancestors.”
He urged political parties not to engage in what he called “politics over Hindus,” asserting that the government supports development for all but will not tolerate actions “against the nation.” Sharma also claimed that even followers of Islam observe the moon associated with Lord Shiva before celebrating Eid.
The event, attended by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and other key personalities, focused on government achievements and tribal welfare initiatives. IBC24’s annual programme brought ministers, officials, and tribal representatives together to outline future development plans and respond to public concerns.
