A violent clash broke out between JDU and Congress supporters in Gopalganj amid the ongoing Bihar elections. The incident involved supporters of JDU candidate Amarendra Kumar, also known as Pappu Pandey, and Congress candidate Harinarayan Kushwaha. The key phrase Bihar JDU-Congress clash has once again raised concerns over rising election-related violence in the state.
According to reports, the Bihar JDU-Congress clash occurred in the Gopalpur area where a young man suffered serious head injuries. The injured, identified as Congress worker Anoop Kushwaha, was rushed to Sadar Hospital for treatment. He later filed a complaint alleging that JDU supporters attacked him with a knife after a heated argument over flag tearing.
Witnesses said both parties had gathered near the Kuchaykot assembly constituency when tension escalated. Congress workers accused JDU members of provocation, while JDU representatives denied the charges, claiming they were assaulted first. Police have received complaints from both sides and launched an investigation to control further unrest in the election-hit region.
This incident highlights the growing political tension and need for stricter law enforcement during the Bihar polls.
