The JD(U) Legislature Party Meeting will take place today in Patna to decide the party’s new face in the legislature. The meeting will be held at 1, Aney Marg under the leadership of Nitish Kumar. Party MLAs and MLCs will attend the gathering to elect the legislature party leader and deputy leader.
The JD(U) Legislature Party Meeting comes after major political changes in Bihar. Nitish Kumar recently stepped down as Chief Minister after becoming a member of the Rajya Sabha. Following his resignation, Samrat Choudhary took oath as the new Chief Minister of the state.
Party leaders said all preparations for the meeting are complete. Senior leaders expect the new legislature party leader to be chosen unanimously during the discussion.
The decision is important because the new NDA government in Bihar will soon face a floor test in the state assembly on April 24.
