A court in Bihar issued a JDU MLA Amarendra Pandey non-bailable warrant in a serious land grab case. The order came from a special MP-MLA court in Gopalganj district. The decision has increased pressure on the ruling party leader.
Police say the JDU MLA Amarendra Pandey non-bailable warrant relates to alleged land grabbing and criminal conspiracy. Amarendra Pandey represents the Kuchaikote seat. Investigators claim he helped a land mafia group grab land with fake documents.
The court also issued warrants against Pandey’s brother Satish Pandey and chartered accountant Rahul Tiwari. Police teams have started raids to find the accused. Officers believe the suspects may be hiding.
The case started after a landowner filed a complaint about an illegal attempt to take his farmland. Investigators earlier arrested several people linked to the land mafia.
Police say they will continue the search until the accused appear before the court.
