The JEE Main 2026 April Session has started today across India. The JEE Main 2026 April Session is conducted by the National Testing Agency, and thousands of students are appearing for the exam at different centres. Authorities have released strict guidelines that candidates must follow on exam day.
The exam will run from April 2 to April 8, 2026, and it will take place in computer-based mode. Paper 1 for B.E. and B.Tech will be held on multiple dates, while Paper 2 for B.Arch and B.Planning will be conducted on a separate day.
Each day the exam will be conducted in two shifts. The morning shift will run from 9 AM to 12 PM, and the afternoon shift will run from 3 PM to 6 PM. Candidates must reach the exam centre early because the gate will close 30 minutes before the exam begins.
Students must carry a printed admit card, a valid photo ID, and passport-size photographs. Officials will conduct biometric verification and frisking before entry. Electronic items, thick-sole shoes, and clothes with large buttons are not allowed inside the exam centre.
Authorities advised candidates to carefully follow all instructions to avoid any issues during the JEE Main 2026 April Session exam.
