Jehanabad Toll Plaza Firing created panic late Monday night when a dispute at a toll gate in Bihar suddenly turned violent. The Jehanabad Toll Plaza Firing incident happened at Serthua toll plaza on NH-22 under the Tehta police station area.
According to reports, a group of youths was travelling in cars with a wedding procession. When their vehicles reached the toll plaza, an argument started with the toll staff over payment of toll tax. The situation quickly escalated into a heated clash between the two sides.
During the fight, a security guard allegedly opened fire. Two youths suffered bullet injuries while another person got hurt during the scuffle. Local people rushed the injured to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Police reached the spot soon after the incident and brought the situation under control. Officers also seized the guard’s licensed weapon and started an investigation to find out the exact cause of the firing.
Authorities said they are recording statements and examining evidence related to the Jehanabad Toll Plaza Firing case.
