Jemima Goldsmith appealed publicly to Elon Musk on Friday, alleging suppression of her posts on X about Imran Khan.
Goldsmith, the former wife of Pakistan’s ex-prime minister, said her updates fail to reach audiences. She claimed visibility filtering reduced her reach in Pakistan and globally. She urged Musk to intervene and restore what she called fair access.
In a post on X, Goldsmith said her sons have been barred from meeting their father. She described Khan as unlawfully detained for 22 months in solitary confinement. She said X remains the only platform left to highlight his condition. Goldsmith called Khan a political prisoner denied basic human rights.
“You promised free speech, not speech that no one hears,” she wrote, addressing Musk directly.
Goldsmith has earlier accused Pakistani authorities of blocking contact between Khan and his children. She also alleged officials threatened arrest if her sons attempted to visit Pakistan.
Concerns intensified this week after Khan’s sister, Aleema Khan, spoke outside Adiala Jail. She said authorities repeatedly denied family meetings. She alleged officials subjected Khan to torture and illegal isolation.
Pressure continues to mount from family members and PTI supporters. They have demanded proof of Khan’s well-being. Last year, UN experts criticized Pakistan for arbitrarily detaining Khan to block his political participation.
