Jharkhand minimum temperature drops to 10 degrees as the winter season strengthens across the state. The new reading marks the sharpest dip of the season. The Jharkhand minimum temperature also highlights how quickly the cold wave is tightening its grip, especially in Gumla, which recorded the lowest value.

According to the Meteorological Department, Gumla felt the strongest chill at 10°C. Ranchi recorded 12.9°C, while its maximum stayed at 27°C. Jamshedpur, Daltenganj and Bokaro Thermal also saw cooler mornings as their temperatures continued to fall.

Chaibasa experienced the most notable change. Its maximum temperature rose by 2.4°C, but the minimum dipped by 1.6°C, creating sharper contrasts between day and night. The IMD reported that Jharkhand touched a maximum of 31.4°C statewide on November 20.

Despite the cold, weather experts say rain is unlikely. Birsa Agricultural University has predicted dry conditions for now. Visibility in Ranchi dropped early in the morning, affecting commuters and increasing traffic discomfort.

With winter gaining momentum, residents across Jharkhand are preparing for colder days ahead. More temperature fluctuations are expected over the next week as the season deepens.
