J&K Woman Officer to Lead All-Male CRPF Contingent on Republic Day

A woman officer from Jammu and Kashmir, Simran Bala, will create history by commanding an all-male marching contingent of the CRPF during the Republic Day parade in New Delhi. This will be the first time that she leads a group of more than 140 male personnel at the national event.
Simran Bala’s role is being seen as a major step toward gender equality in the armed forces. Officials said her selection reflects the growing leadership roles of women in central armed police forces. She has undergone intense training and preparation to lead the contingent with discipline and precision.
The CRPF said her leadership will inspire young women across the country to join the forces and aim for leadership positions. The Republic Day parade is one of India’s most important national ceremonies, showcasing the strength, unity, and diversity of the country.
Simran Bala’s achievement highlights the changing face of India’s security forces and the breaking of traditional barriers.
