Jana Sena Party (JSP) leader T.C. Varun has alleged corruption by the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) in the issue related to the supply of ghee for Tirumala laddu prasadam. Speaking in Anantapur, he claimed that during the YSRCP government, the contract to supply ghee was given to a company that was not even involved in the dairy business.
He said such actions raised serious doubts about transparency and quality control in a matter connected to the faith of millions of devotees. The Tirumala laddu is considered sacred, and any compromise in its ingredients is unacceptable, he added.
Mr. Varun demanded a thorough investigation into how the contract was awarded and who benefited from it. He accused the previous government of misusing power and public resources.
The JSP leader said his party would continue to question irregularities and fight for accountability. He urged the authorities to ensure strict quality standards and protect the sanctity of temple-related services.
