Jubilee Promotes Peace Through Inter-Religious Dialogue in Goa, bringing people of all faiths together in a strong call for unity. The celebration took place at Old Goa near the Basilica of Bom Jesus, where the Committee for the Apostolate of Inter-Religious Dialogue and Sadbhav of the Pilar Society hosted a meaningful gathering. The Jubilee Promotes Peace Through Inter-Religious Dialogue in Goa event highlighted cultural diversity and the shared hope for harmony.
The theme, Messengers of Peace, Rays of Hope, encouraged participants to strengthen bonds across religions. Auxiliary-Bishop Simião Fernandes joined representatives of many traditions to plant a sapling, symbolising unity. Fr Tomas Lobo warmly welcomed the crowd.
Artist Alison Gonsalves delivered a heartfelt message, urging Goans to protect their long-standing spirit of harmony. He said that a few divisive groups try to disturb peace, and he called on students and teachers to resist these forces.
Bishop Fernandes reminded the youth that unity grows from respect, not uniformity. He encouraged everyone to carry peace into their daily lives.
Students, teachers, and performers from various schools shared inspiring stories and creative presentations. Fr Elvis Fernandes led the gathering in a pledge to spread peace and hope across society.
