The opposition alliance, INDI bloc, has nominated Justice Sudarshan Reddy, a prominent Telugu personality, as its candidate for the upcoming Vice-Presidential elections. The nomination filing ceremony witnessed the presence of several key leaders, including Sonia Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, Sharad Pawar, Akhilesh Yadav, and Sanjay Raut, reflecting strong opposition unity.
On the other hand, the NDA has fielded Radhakrishnan as its candidate, who submitted his nomination in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi yesterday.
The Vice-Presidential election is scheduled to take place on September 9, and political observers anticipate a keen contest between the ruling NDA and the INDI bloc.
