Former minister and YSRCP leader Kakani Govardhan Reddy has openly challenged Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy , the MLA from Sarvepalli, over alleged corruption in gravel permits. Speaking to the media in Nellore on Friday, Kakani dared Somireddy to agree to a CBI inquiry, saying, “ Let the CBI investigate. Whoever gets a clean chit should contest elections.”
Kakani also targeted TDP leader Atchannaidu, demanding that he participate in an open debate on the urea shortage crisis. He questioned whether Somireddy or other TDP leaders were willing to conduct on-ground inspections in regions where farmers are struggling.
Slamming the ruling coalition, Kakani said farmers are facing severe issues: shortages of urea on one hand and non-functional grain procurement centers on the other. He further lashed out at Somireddy, claiming he lacks the stature to criticize YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, and accused him of attacking Jagan only to secure ministerial benefits.
