Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) chief and Rajya Sabha MP Kamal Haasan has stated that large public gatherings do not guarantee votes. He emphasized that popularity alone cannot determine election results.
Commenting on Tamil Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) chief Vijay attracting massive crowds, Kamal Haasan said the same principle applies to all political leaders. Leaders must not assume that crowd attendance directly translates into votes.
He urged Vijay to continue his political journey courageously while following a righteous path. Kamal Haasan added that the focus of any leader should be on serving the public and doing good for the people.
Vijay is currently touring Tamil Nadu ahead of the state assembly elections, drawing huge crowds at his rallies. Kamal Haasan’s remarks came in response to the attention surrounding Vijay’s public popularity and electoral ambitions.
