The Karisma Kapoor Court Dispute took a sharp turn on Friday when the actor’s children told the Delhi High Court that Samaira’s university fees in the US remained unpaid for two months. The Karisma Kapoor Court Dispute raised new concerns during the hearing of their challenge to their late father Sunjay Kapur’s alleged will, reportedly worth ₹30,000 crore.
Justice Jyoti Singh asked both sides to avoid melodrama and resolve basic issues without bringing them back to court. She also urged Priya Kapur’s counsel to ensure that the children’s needs never lapse again.
Senior advocate Mahesh Jethmalani, representing Samaira and her brother, argued that Sunjay Kapur had agreed to cover all educational expenses under the matrimonial decree. He claimed the fees delay created unnecessary stress for Samaira.
Priya Kapur’s lawyer Rajiv Nayar rejected the allegation. He said Priya had met every responsibility and accused the children of raising the issue only to get media attention. He added that the fees had already been paid.
The court continued hearing arguments on the children’s request to stop Priya Kapur from transferring Sunjay Kapur’s assets. They also questioned the authenticity of the will and accused Priya Kapur of “greed.”
Priya Kapur told the court that the children had already received ₹1,900 crore from the family trust. The matter will resume next week.
