Karnataka Congress Leadership Row to Be Resolved in Delhi: Kharge
Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge has stated that the ongoing leadership row in Karnataka is expected to be resolved through discussions in Delhi. The party is reportedly working to address differences between factions loyal to former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and those aligned with other senior leaders, aiming for a consensus ahead of upcoming political challenges.
In a significant development, senior leader D.K. Shivakumar appeared to extend an olive branch to the Siddaramaiah camp by meeting several key leaders, including Satish Jarkiholi, to ease tensions and foster unity within the party. Party insiders suggest that these interactions are part of a broader strategy to consolidate leadership, prevent internal fragmentation, and present a united front in Karnataka.
Kharge emphasised that the high-command’s intervention will play a decisive role in settling the matter, underscoring the importance of dialogue and compromise. The outcome of these deliberations is expected to influence the party’s organisational structure and electoral strategies in the State.
