The Karnataka Quantum City: 6.17 acres will host Q-City at Hessarghatta, announced Science and Technology Minister N.S. Boseraju on Sunday. The project will feature cutting-edge laboratories, start-up incubation centers, and infrastructure that fosters collaboration between academia and industry.
The Karnataka Quantum City: 6.17 acres sanctioned for Q-City positions the state as a global hub for quantum computing. Boseraju stated that Karnataka plans to build a $20 billion quantum economy by 2035 through strategic investments and initiatives.
Q-City will provide research and innovation facilities, support start-ups, and enable academic institutions to collaborate on quantum projects. The state aims to lead India’s quantum technology ecosystem and attract talent and investment worldwide.
Officials said Q-City will also strengthen partnerships with national and international institutions, enhancing Karnataka’s competitiveness in emerging quantum technologies. These efforts will make the state a pioneer in the quantum computing sector.
