Karur Stampede Victim’s Wife Rejects ₹20 Lakh Aid, Says Vijay Should Have Visited Her
The wife of a Karur stampede victim has returned the ₹20-lakh compensation offered by actor Vijay, expressing disappointment that he did not personally visit her to offer condolences.
The tragic incident occurred during a welfare event organized by Vijay’s team, leading to multiple casualties. While Vijay later invited the victims’ families to a private resort in Mamallapuram to meet them and express his sorrow, the woman said she felt “deeply hurt” that he had not come to Karur to meet the grieving families directly.
According to reports, she returned the amount to members of Vijay’s fan association who had facilitated the compensation.
