The Kerala Assembly Election Results 2026 LIVE Updates show early trends as vote counting began across the state on Monday morning. Counting started at 8:00 am in 140 centres located at 43 places across Kerala.
Officials opened the strongrooms at around 6:30 am in the presence of Election Commission observers, security staff, and representatives of candidates. They then began the counting process with postal ballots.
According to Kerala Assembly Election Results 2026 LIVE Updates, the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) has taken an early lead. The ruling Left Democratic Front (LDF) and the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) are also in the race as the counting continues.
Postal ballots account for about 1.36 percent of the total votes polled in the election. Officials will start counting the votes recorded in electronic voting machines after completing the postal ballot process.
The results will decide whether the LDF retains power or the UDF returns to government in Kerala.
