In the recent first ODI match against Australia, Maharaj took 5 wickets for just 33 runs, leading South Africa to a dominant 98-run victory. This stellar performance has pushed him back to the top of the ICC ODI rankings, surpassing Sri Lanka’s Maheesh Theekshana and India’s Kuldeep Yadav, who previously held the top two spots.
