The kidnapping case involving a district president of Chirag Paswan’s party has shocked the region. The kidnapping case began when a teenage girl disappeared on November 12th. Her family filed a First Information Report (FIR), naming local leader Kamlesh Rai as the main accused. Police later found the girl on November 18th, and she gave a statement in court identifying Kamlesh Rai.
According to officials, the girl said the accused had abused her for nearly five years. A medical examination confirmed key details. Police searched his home several times, but he had escaped. Based on a tip-off, officers finally arrested him on Friday morning from Bhainsahi village.
Kamlesh Rai holds multiple important posts. He is the Mukhia of Bhainsahi Kala, the Mukhia Sangh President of Sadar Block, and also the district president of the LJP (R). His arrest has created a major political debate, with senior party leaders facing criticism.
Police say the victim’s court statement closely matches the FIR filed by her family. These matching details strengthened the case and led to further legal action. The accused has now been sent to judicial custody.
