Kirtan Darbar Srinagar Visit Highlights Sikh Heritage

Kirtan Darbar Srinagar

The Kirtan Darbar Srinagar Visit brought Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann and AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal together at Gurdwara Chatti Patshahi. The Kirtan Darbar Srinagar Visit also marked the beginning of major events planned to honour the 350th martyrdom day of Guru Tegh Bahadur.

Both leaders offered prayers during the Kirtan Darbar. Kejriwal said he felt blessed to visit the sacred shrine. He also invited people across the world to join the upcoming commemorations at Anandpur Sahib. “More people should come forward to honour Guru Sahib’s supreme sacrifice,” he said.

CM Mann shared details of the Yatra that will start on Wednesday. A large jathha, including Kashmiri Pandits, will travel through Jammu, Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, Dasuya and Garhshankar before reaching Anandpur Sahib on November 22. Three more jathhas from Amritsar, Damdama Sahib and Tarn Taran will join on November 22–23.

He said the state will host a grand convention on November 23–24. The event will feature an all-faith convention, kirtan, a drone show and a light-and-sound presentation on Guru Tegh Bahadur’s life.

Guru Tegh Bahadur’s teachings continue to inspire courage, compassion and justice. His martyrdom remains a timeless reminder of the fight against oppression.
