The Kovvur Road Accident has shocked many people in Andhra Pradesh. Minister Nara Lokesh expressed deep sorrow over the tragic Kovvur Road Accident that killed several workers near Kovvur bridge in Kakinada district.
The accident happened early in the morning when workers were crossing the road to go for employment guarantee work. A speeding tipper lorry hit them and caused a serious crash. Four women workers died on the spot, while two others suffered severe injuries.
The victims belonged to Chidiga village. Those who died include Satyavati, Krishnaveni, Chittemma, and Annavaram. The injured workers were taken to the Government Hospital in Kakinada for treatment.
Reacting to the incident, Nara Lokesh said the deaths were heartbreaking. He assured that the government would support the families of the victims. He also directed officials to provide proper medical care for the injured.
Police registered a case and started an investigation into the accident.
