KSRTC Unions Meet CM, Seek Release of Arrears and Pay Revision

Unions representing employees of the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) met Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to press for the release of pending arrears and an immediate pay revision. The meeting comes amid growing demands from transport workers who say they have been waiting too long for salary adjustments promised earlier.
According to Anantha Subba Rao, president of the KSRTC Staff and Workers’ Federation, the discussion with the Chief Minister lasted nearly an hour and was described as “positive and constructive.” He said the unions explained the financial hardships faced by employees due to delayed payments and requested swift government action.
The Chief Minister is reported to have assured that the issues would be taken up for urgent consideration. Transport workers hope the government will soon announce a concrete decision, as unresolved pay matters continue to affect morale across KSRTC, BMTC, NWKRTC, and KKRTC units.
