KTR alleges Revanth Reddy pushed Palamuru back to distress migration

BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) alleged that Congress leader Revanth Reddy has pushed Palamuru back into distress migration. Speaking in Hyderabad, he accused the Congress government of undermining the Palamuru–Rangareddy irrigation project.
KTR said the decision has affected farmers and local communities dependent on the project, reversing development gains in the region. He warned that water scarcity and inadequate irrigation could force residents to migrate in search of livelihood.
The BRS leader also said former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao is preparing for a renewed struggle to protect Palamuru and Telangana’s water rights. KTR emphasized that safeguarding irrigation projects is crucial for sustaining agriculture and preventing distress migration.
Political analysts noted that the dispute highlights ongoing tensions between BRS and Congress over regional water management and development priorities.
KTR alleges Revanth Reddy pushed Palamuru back to distress migration, stressing the need to protect water resources and support farmers in Telangana.
