KTR Defends Father’s Legacy, Warns Opponents Against Personal Attacks
Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) on Thursday said that, as a son, he would always take pride in the achievements of his father, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, and would continue to defend his legacy against political criticism. Speaking in Hyderabad, KTR responded strongly to remarks made by opposition leaders, stating that while he prefers civil and issue-based politics, he is capable of responding in equally sharp language if provoked.
KTR said the Telangana government’s record in welfare, development, and governance speaks for itself, and attempts to undermine it reflect political frustration rather than facts. He added that personal attacks on leaders and their families lower the standard of public discourse. Emphasising respect and dignity in politics, he urged opponents to engage in debates based on policies and performance.
The BRS leader reaffirmed his commitment to standing by his party and its leadership, while warning that persistent personal attacks would not go unanswered.
