KTR, Harish Rao Condemn CM’s Call to Demolish BRS Flags, Warn of Retaliation
Telangana Ministers K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) and T. Harish Rao on Sunday strongly criticised Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s recent call to demolish BRS party flag posts across the State. They described the directive as unconstitutional and an overreach of executive authority, arguing that it undermined democratic norms and the right to political expression.
Both leaders urged the Director General of Police (DGP) to take prompt action to prevent any attempts to disturb law and order and to ensure that political activities are conducted within legal boundaries. They warned that any move to forcibly remove party symbols or flags could lead to retaliatory actions, further escalating tensions in the State.
KTR and Harish Rao stressed that political disagreements should be addressed through dialogue and constitutional processes rather than unilateral directives targeting a particular party. They called for maintaining peace, upholding democratic rights, and respecting the rule of law to prevent political instability ahead of upcoming events and elections.
