Kumar included statements made by BJP leader and former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi. According to these allegations, Gupta worked closely with gangster Sujit Sinha to form an organisation called Koelanchal Shanti Samiti (KSS). Kumar said KSS targeted coal contractors, transporters, doctors and businessmen to collect large ransom amounts.
He also pointed to Marandi’s claim that Gupta ordered the killing of gangster Aman Sahu in an encounter after receiving a suggestion from an under-trial prisoner. Kumar said this raises serious questions about the misuse of power.
Another major allegation stated that KSS supplied Pakistan-made weapons to criminals. Kumar said this issue threatens not only Jharkhand but the entire country.
The lawyer now has two options. He may wait for the police to file an FIR and begin an investigation. If the police do not act, he plans to approach the Jharkhand High Court with a PIL seeking a CBI inquiry.
