Liquor Mafia Attacks Police in Bagaha, Bihar

Liquor mafia attack on police in Bagaha Bihar

The liquor mafia in Bihar continues to target police teams with violent attacks. In Bagaha, West Champaran, an Excise Department team went for a raid in Katar village under Dhana police station limits. As soon as the officers arrived, liquor mafia goons attacked them with sticks and stones. The team’s vehicle was badly damaged, and officers had to run for their lives.

Reports confirm that even a woman police officer was misbehaved with during the assault. The incident has created panic in the area, especially along the UP–Bihar border where the team was trying to stop liquor smuggling.

The attack took place on Sunday after a tip-off about illegal liquor trade. The inspector and constable narrowly escaped with injuries. This violent act follows similar incidents in Jamui and Vaishali, where police teams were also beaten and chased away by mafia groups.

Local residents say the liquor mafia has become more aggressive after the liquor ban in Bihar. Police and Excise officials often face life-threatening situations while trying to enforce the law. The repeated assaults have raised serious concerns about law and order in the state. Strong action is now being demanded against the culprits.
