A shocking incident took place in Hamirpur, Uttar Pradesh, where a 35-year-old man named Ravi was beaten to death after visiting his girlfriend, Manisha, who was being forced into marriage. When Ravi reached the village of Parchchh to meet the 18-year-old, her family caught him and tied him up. Enraged relatives, along with some villagers, brutally beat him with sticks.
Witnesses said Ravi, badly injured, pleaded for water but was denied. After he died, panic spread among the attackers. Manisha’s uncle, Pintu, 35, reportedly tried to take his own life, fearing arrest. Both Ravi and Pintu were rushed to a nearby health center, where doctors declared Ravi dead. Pintu was moved to the district hospital in critical condition.
Hearing about Ravi’s death, Manisha also attempted suicide. She is currently receiving treatment along with her uncle.
The girl’s family, however, claimed Ravi was the attacker. They alleged he stabbed Pintu when he opened the door. Villagers said Manisha had previously eloped with Ravi, which had already angered the family.
