On New Year’s Day, Mahavir Temple and ISKCON opening times on New Year’s Day have been announced in Patna. Devotees can visit Mahavir Temple starting 5 am and ISKCON Temple from 7 am. Thousands are expected to attend early morning prayers.
The Mahavir Temple, located near Patna Junction, has set up barricades to manage the crowd. Extra priests from Ayodhya will assist with rituals. Devotees can participate in the 5 am mangala aarti and receive mahaprasad after the ceremony.
ISKCON Temple on Buddh Marg will open for all devotees at 7 am, while a few visitors may enter at 4:30 am for the first rituals. A kirtan group from Vrindavan will perform devotional songs to mark the New Year.
Nearby Gaudiya Math will also organize early morning satsang and distribute mahaprasad. Security arrangements have been made to ensure smooth movement of devotees at both temples.
The New Year celebrations at these temples provide an opportunity for spiritual start and blessings for the year ahead. Devotees are advised to arrive early due to expected large crowds.
