The man-eating tiger Badshah from Valmiki Nagar Tiger Reserve is now under strict care at Patna Zoo. The tiger, renamed man-eating tiger Badshah, was captured on September 13 after attacking several people. He is believed to be between six and eight years old and is currently kept in the zoo’s nursery area for close monitoring.
Badshah shows strong aggression whenever he sees humans. Because of this, he is not allowed near visitor areas. Zoo officials say he often tries to bite the safety net with his teeth. To keep him calm, a special low-contact environment has been created in the nursery. Only trained staff members approach him, and they do so with extreme caution.
Experts are observing Badshah every day. They want to understand his behavior before taking any decision about showing him to the public. Zoo authorities will allow visitors only after his temperament improves and the expert reports confirm that he is safe enough to be shifted.
For now, Badshah remains the most sensitive animal at Patna Zoo, and all further steps will depend on his gradual progress.
