Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday met newly elected Zila Parishad and Block Samiti members in Ludhiana. The Mann Kejriwal meet AAP members event took place at the Indoor Stadium at 1 pm and marked a key organisational interaction after the recent local body elections.
During the Mann Kejriwal meet AAP programme, both leaders congratulated the newly elected representatives on their victory. They described the results as a mandate for transparent governance and grassroots development in Punjab.
Bhagwant Mann urged the members to work closely with villagers and focus on basic issues such as sanitation, drinking water, roads, and education. He stressed that honest leadership at the local level would strengthen democracy and improve service delivery.
Arvind Kejriwal highlighted the role of Zila Parishad and Block Samiti members in implementing welfare schemes. He asked them to remain accessible to the public and ensure that benefits reach every household. He also underlined the need for teamwork between the state government and local bodies.
The meeting aimed to align the newly elected members with the party’s development agenda. Party leaders and senior AAP functionaries also attended the event. The leadership used the platform to outline priorities for rural development and effective local governance.
