A Marjdawa market knife attack shocked the Purushottampur area on Friday afternoon. Two groups of youths started arguing inside a salon, and the fight quickly escalated. During the clash, attackers from Bhedihari targeted two boys from Laxmipur with knives. The Marjdawa market knife attack left both victims seriously injured. After the attack, the youths escaped from the spot.
Police officers, including SDPO Jaiprakash Singh and Inspector Rajiv Kumar, reached the location soon after receiving information. They confirmed that the injured youths were Chandan Kumar (22) and Roshan Kumar (21). Both were rushed to the Community Health Center in Mainatad and later shifted to Bettiah for better treatment.
According to the SDPO, the attackers have already been identified. Police are questioning their family members to pressure the accused to surrender. Officials expect to arrest them soon. Purushottampur Police Station Head Sudha Kumari said patrolling has been increased in Marjdawa Bazaar to prevent further trouble. The police are closely monitoring the situation.
