A violent clash broke out at Tilka Manjhi University in Bhagalpur, Bihar, between Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and Student RJD members. The fight started after RJD workers allegedly attacked ABVP activists on Wednesday. In response, ABVP leaders stormed the campus on Thursday, chasing and beating Lalu Yadav, the Student RJD president, along with his supporters.
Eyewitnesses said ABVP members tried to shut the university and created chaos in the examination department, vandalizing offices. Later, they announced they would not disturb certificate work. The situation escalated when protesters blocked the university administration building.
ABVP accused Lalu Yadav of threatening their workers and disrupting their protest. On the other hand, Yadav claimed ABVP had come with sticks, planning to fight. The violence turned the campus into a battlefield, forcing police to deploy in large numbers.
Officials and staff fled in fear, and students who came for routine work also ran away. The clash left the campus tense, with heavy police presence to control further unrest.
