Amalapuram: A major fire accident occurred in Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema district of Andhra Pradesh, leaving six people charred to death and eight others critically injured. The incident took place at the Lakshmi Ganapathi Fireworks manufacturing unit in Rayavaram, where flames suddenly erupted while workers were reportedly making explosives.

The blaze spread rapidly, engulfing the entire premises before anyone could escape. Firefighters rushed to the spot and are continuing efforts to douse the flames and rescue trapped individuals. Local police and revenue officials are coordinating relief operations while medical teams have shifted the injured to nearby hospitals for treatment.

Preliminary reports suggest that the accident might have been caused by an explosion during the mixing of chemicals used in firecracker production. Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire, while the district administration has ordered a detailed probe into safety violations at the unit.
