The Telangana government is making large-scale arrangements for the upcoming Medaram Jatara, scheduled for the end of January next year. Officials revealed that the entire Jatara zone will be divided into 8 zones and 31 sectors to ensure smooth management of Asia’s largest tribal fair.
To accommodate lakhs of devotees, the government has planned 49 parking zones across 1,050 acres, along with 24 permanent and 20 temporary mobile towers to provide uninterrupted communication facilities. Continuous power supply, improved amenities, and crowd-management systems are also being put in place.
Security arrangements will be significant, with around 12,000 police personnel expected to be deployed to manage traffic, safety, and crowd control throughout the Jatara. The government aims to ensure a safe, seamless, and comfortable experience for all pilgrims attending the festival.
