Mera Booth Strongest Campaign was launched in Assam as BJP national executive president Nitin Nabin began his two-day state visit. He arrived in Guwahati on Friday and inaugurated the Assam BJP state executive meeting. Nabin also held discussions with the state BJP core committee to review organisational preparedness.
On arrival, Nabin joined Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for a roadshow. Nearly 900 party members attended the state executive meeting. On Saturday, Nabin will offer prayers at the Kamakhya temple. The visit comes ahead of the 2026 Assam Assembly elections, where the BJP plans to field several new candidates.
Addressing party workers, Nabin urged strong booth-level engagement. He stressed direct contact with voters. He said the party’s success depends on effectively communicating Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision. He asked workers to take welfare schemes and development achievements to every household.
Senior leaders said the meetings reviewed election strategies and outreach programmes. They focused on coordination among party units and stronger grassroots mobilisation. Nabin also attacked the Congress, accusing it of protecting illegal infiltrators for vote bank politics. He said the BJP and NDA started firm action against illegal immigrants with public support.
Chief Minister Sarma highlighted changes after delimitation. He said some leaders may not get tickets due to revised constituencies. The BJP aims for a third consecutive term in Assam.
