Minimum temperature in Telangana to drop by 3–4°C, colder nights ahead
Minimum temperature in Telangana is likely to dip by 3–4°C over the next two days, bringing colder nights across the State, according to officials. Weather data indicates a steady fall in night temperatures, especially in northern districts.
According to the Telangana Development Planning Society, seven districts recorded minimum temperatures of 10°C or below between December 14 and 15. Sirpur in Kumaram Bheem Asifabad district reported the lowest minimum temperature at 7.6°C. Other districts also experienced chilly conditions during early morning hours.
Weather officials said clear skies and dry northerly winds are contributing to the drop in temperatures. They added that rural and forested areas are likely to feel colder compared to urban centres due to lower heat retention.
People have been advised to take precautions, particularly the elderly, children, and those with health conditions. Farmers were also asked to monitor crops that may be sensitive to sudden temperature changes.
Minimum temperature in Telangana is expected to remain below normal in several districts over the next two days. Authorities said they will continue to monitor weather conditions and issue advisories if required
