In a generous move to support farmers facing urea shortages in the Telugu states, Batthula Laxma Reddy, MLA from Miryalaguda, has made a significant donation for their welfare. Recently, his son, Sai Prasanna, got married, and the MLA had planned a lavish reception in Miryalaguda. However, he decided to cancel the event and donate the funds to help farmers instead.
Laxma Reddy presented a check of ₹2 crore to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, requesting that the amount be used to provide free urea to 100,000 farmers. This donation comes as a part of his ongoing efforts to alleviate the difficulties faced by farmers in his constituency.
In recognition of his efforts, CM Revanth Reddy congratulated Laxma Reddy and his family for their altruistic gesture, which has been hailed as an exemplary act of leadership and community service.
